Tanken Driland 7 & Gundam sAGE 47

Hey all,

Here’s an episode of Tanken. There are two more coming down the pike.
The editor can maybe get to ep 8 today. If he can’t, then we’ll release tomorrow.
Ep 9 will be due midweek. Then we’ll finally be caught up.

Here’s an episode of Gundam AGE. There are two more left in total.
No spoilers, but :manly tears: were shed.

Gundam sAGE 47

480p

SEED 23 is coming your way today and SEED 24 is getting worked on.

I will get to Nichibros specials after I have released all the above stuff.

In other news, .hack movie was released by Commie, but my group still wants to release our own version. However, its now low-priority, since a relatively good quality version is now available from Commie.

I have notice this ungrateful person shouting here and there for awhile. If u are desperate to watch, do it on youtube. There is an official release under gundam.info (which is done by bandai themselves). If you just plan to leach the benefit of people whom work for free and complain them for being late, please seek for other alternative. Even if fansubbers put it on indefinite hiatus, we have no rights to complain as what they are doing was part of their interest, not commitment. They are not paid to do subbing in the 1st place. If u say they accept money from us and did not do the work, please note the term “donation”. Look up in Oxford for the term if u still dont understand.

Because complainers dont seek alternatives when there are tones of substitute out there. Just suggesting one so that complainers can understand that there are many other options outside and if they are not happy about it, just seek alternative then wasting time complaining and other peoples time reading the complain and come out with an argument/solution just to please that complainer……….

As in some time this week, apparently. I’m not sure if the QC got through episode 23 and episode 24 is currently at editing.

That’s what i don’t like….Saying something and not happening….Why say with such confidence that they will release episode 23 the same day and not it’s been two days ago…..Not saying something like that would be far better….

You make me sad that we both like the same anime πŸ™ Please, shut up already. They’re releasing it when they release it.

Maybe you should take up on your own advice. You clearly need the fresh air and unwinding more than anyone else here. If you were the adult that you try to appear as, you’d act like one too, instead of throwing tantrums left and right like a colicky baby.

So far your antics are second only to the trollish idiocy of 00fanboy and he had the excuse of clearly being a troll. What is yours?

@TheStranger, it seems that you keep whining about SEED in just about any comment section here, if you don’t like it, just leave it be instead of trolling up all the comment sections here about that particular show.

From what i noticed, sage puts a deadline but fails to achieve it almost every time. Either live with it, or find another group that subs your show and get theirs.

For me personal, i don’t care if a new episode of driland will be here yesterday or at the end of next week. I’m just glad that there’s people who are willing in their sparetime to do all the work they have to do in order to release a proper subbed episode.

The picture i get about you from your comments is just that your an impatient little kid who’s live revolves around a single show. If you where just a tiny bit mature you would show a lot more patience instead of whining every time there’s a new upload from sage.

As soon as people in groups like sage get payed to do fansubs for a living, it’ll be a whole different story if they don’t abide by there deadlines. However, donations don’t count towards actual payment as most of the time those are used to cover costs of hosting and other costs related to places where people like you can whine like a little kid.

Child? Sadly, being on the internet, I can’t prove my age, but I can ascertain that I’m probably OLDER then you are.

The only child here would be you. The way you whine about SEED never being completed on time shows how wonderfully impatient you are. Honestly, sit back, have a cold one and do something else.

Give these poor people a break. While I don’t know what they do in their daily lives, it’s probably about 99% more productive then yours.

And actually, I do go outside once in a while. You know, walk away from the computer and stop refreshing SageSubs webpage to see if SEED is released kind of go outside.

Also, if you’re going to compare with to a child, why do I seem to have better grammar, punctuation and spelling then you do? (Only excuse would be English is not your first language.)

These comments make me happy in the pants. I hope they only release SEED in a finished batch so this can continue for as long as possible.

A troll posts things to merely to get a reaction out of people and make them angry. TheStranger is not one of these – he’s just a complainer. That said, these are my two cents: complaining here results in everyone else here attacking you back, so if you don’t like their reactions you might be better off not posting at all. And I’m pretty sure that complaining won’t suddenly cause the staff to meet their deadlines from now on.

So… treat Sage as if they are Valve corporation, and be even more patient somehow. Haha.

True, people always call someone with a different opinion than theirs a troll, not their fault actually, it’s in a way a trend of times so i don’t expect that to change anytime soon.
That aside most of them fail to realize that i’m not complaining because a week went by without an episode of SEED. It’s currently the 4th week without an episode and seeing that Sage is having the least workload of the past year (i only started paying attention to them for SEED) i really can’t explain this. Also people keep saying this entire thing is for free and that donations don’t count. Once again can someone remind me why people keep donating if not to see their favorite anime getting subbed ? It’s really annoying to see people even go to extra lengths to excuse this entire situation by saying that Commie, Hadena, GG and others are not as good at what they do and that’s why they release multiple subbed anime per week. My guess is that there are quite a few “friends” of the Sage staff in here in which case that would make sense.

You’ve said it yourself, you don’t know Japanese. Thus you are not qualified to make an estimate of their quality and you fail to understand that Commie, for one, does not generally even translate anything by themselves. They just take the subtitles from the simulcasts and stick those to their subs. GGs working quality fluctuates heavily and some of their subs have been quite shit and Hadena is pretty much the same, by what shows I’ve seen from them.

Please get some actual information under your belt before you start questioning the workload involved.
And yes, Sages sub quality is superior that that of Commie, Hadena, GG and quite a few other groups I can’t bother to name. “i really can’t explain this” …. Here is an explanation for you: Life happened.

In short, you complain about things you don’t understand. And thus, you are a complainer as labelled above. No, I don’t know know anyone from here or indeed, from any currently active subbing or scanslation group. You just don’t have a clue and, at least seemingly, actively avoid getting one.

well. i reckon most of the difference comes from “ripping” stuff from crunchyroll or any other streaming media site like a few of groups you list do, or work from scratch, which means start with a raw copy and then work your way up to a fully subbed episode.

Indeed donations do count towards seeing your favorite show subbed, but they shouldn’t be seen as actual payment, like you would get from a boss after a hard days work. Donations in the end help the groups to pay for hosting, and all the stuff they need to have in order to get your favorite show subbed and downloadable.

Apart from that, you should also take into account the amount of active contributors (or whats it called in fansub land) who do their fare share of work. If a group has a lot of people working behind the scenes to get a subbed anime out, it goes a lot faster then when 2 or 3 people are doing the same work.

There’s a crapload of work to be done getting an episode from raw to finished before it goes to your computer (that is if the fansub is done from scratch instead of either leeching it of another subbing group or get it from crunchyroll)

Now back to sage, as said, its a huge amount of work that they have to actually have time for to do. I reckon they are still kids that go to school (no offence sage :)), and apart from subbing also have other priorities. And no matter what, real life comes first.

Having that said, i’m not totally disagreeing with you TheStranger, they keep delaying their deadlines, and towards their fans (because thats what we are due to loving their subs :P) they should be more open as in when a deadline can’t be reached, doesn’t need to be in big long stories, just a simple counter on the site when they expect something to be done, and if they don’t make it just push the date a bit back so we all know what to expect ;).

Its not only SEED (your show) but also Driland, that show brought me here in the first place because they are the only group subbing it :P. Also for that show they say something and then don’t deliver. The difference however is how you cope with it. As i’ve said earlier, i don’t really care when a new episode comes out, i’ve watched the first 2 to see what the show was, and now i simply wait till i’ve gotten either the complete show (depending on how many episodes) or the first season before i’m gonna sit back and relax and watch it in 1 go.

But then again, i’ve got about 100 currently active tv-shows (anime and regular shows) and not to mention a lot more inactive, so i’ve got plenty to watch :).

I haven’t donated, nor am i a “friend” of the sage staff, I’m just trying to say that complaining doesn’t help, and if a group doesn’t meet their deadline, there can be a lot of reasons behind the scene as to why it doesn’t go as they plan it to. Most of us here on the site don’t know them (there’s bound to be a few who do) so we can only guess, but all in all, my advise is still, if a group is too slow for you with their releases, try to find another group who’s quicker. I’m doing the same thing when deadfish / hadena are slower than usual with a release. Just pull up nyaa . eu and search in the english translated anime bit for the show. easy as counting to 3 πŸ˜›

and if there’s none, then its just badluck and you gotta sit back and be patient. (desperately waiting for an english sub of tales of symphonia latest ep, but that one takes forever as well). Complaining once in a while isn’t bad, its just the amount of complaining that makes people classify you as a “troll”. Because, also this i’ve said in my earlier post, you seem to do it (almost) every time sage posts a release here on the site.

My friends i don’t care How Commie or Hadena or GG or others Do what they do. What i care about is that i can watch 5 anime per week by them without delays and stuff like that. Some of you say that their subs are not the best, again even if they are 70% correct i am fine with it. It’s still better than No subs at all. So if Sage could release subbed anime in time with the same process i am all in for it. Having 4 weeks gone by without a single SEED episode and falling back almost 20 episodes is a bit too much for me to understand that’s all.

As for the donations i said it before and i will say it again. It costs around USD150 per Year to have an hosting plan with unlimited bandwidth and space (i have 2 for my sites so i know). Even if you get a dedicated server (which noone does) it doesn’t cost over USD500 per year to get a really really good one. So donations of USD150 per motnth (aside the “urgent” donations) are Not just for hosting. So excuse me for wanting Sage to actually do something in return.

And no if another group was subbing SEED right now i’d never complain, but none does and Card knows this so i’d expect them to prioritize it even just a bit that’s all. However you can all see that nothing of the short has happened so far.

Again i’m sorry for “complaining” since some of you don’t like it but like i said before we can’t all be the same.

Does anyone remember digital fansubbing circa 2000-2001? Or fansubbing in the 90’s? The latter I do not, but the former yes, most groups did one show, maybe two, and the release was usually close to a week after the air date. My how we’ve come a long way.

I follow sage for quality Gundam subs and a couple others I don’t recall off hand. SEED has been out for a decade now. The way I figure, you can download the original subs from back then, largely done by AnimeJunkies, or you can wait for HD subs by sage. I think most folks know what makes that sentence funny.
