Gundam sAGE – 38
Hey guys,
Got back from AX late last night so I didn’t manage to finish AGE until just now, especially due to the extra work of that insert song.
AX was pretty fun, I enjoyed the Kajiura concert and various fate/zero panels. The Gundam panels kinda sucked, and their booth was pretty meh. I didn’t see hardly any AGE merchandise (and I think that tells you something.)
PS. If any of you were at the Rikiya Koyama panel, I was the last questioner who asked him to sing “Ore wa Jack Bauer”. If you were at the Fate/Zero screening, I asked the second question to ufotable about them broadcasting the episodes on certain dates like Alexander the Great’s date of death.
Next up is Otakon! I will be going there at the end of this month, hope to see you there!

Thanks for the release! What should we take away from the lack of AGE merchandise? That AGE isn’t being received well? While the art style isn’t the best, I really like the plot and the way it’s unfolding.
Sure, maybe there was a lack of AGE merch because AGE isn’t being received well. But maybe there was a lack of merch because an AGE dub is nowhere near release.
An AGE english dub most likely won’t happen, Bandai isn’t doing english dubs anymore (and cancelled the Turn-A dub that was going to happen). So aside from Unicorn which was already started and has extremely slow releases (also has some of the english acting here and there in the japanese dub anyway), it’s pretty likely there won’t be anymore english Gundam at all.
Actually Turn A was going to be a sub only release, they were not going to dub it. Gundam Unicorn isn’t being dubbed by Bandai, it’s being done by Sunrise in Japan that’s why the English dub for it is still going. As far as future Gundam series’ in English I’m sure we’ll see them at some point, probably Sentai Filmworks or FUNI (Just to add another big name series to their list and then give it the worst English VAs like most of their work).

Im not surprised the UE suits havent gripped Gundam collectors, they are too organic and ‘Draconic’ for the series charachterised as one of the epitomy of real mecha. They are also really similar and lack charachter. The Age Gundams have been good though, better than the 00 Gundams at least.

Totally agree with you about the Gundam booth – luckily I picked up 4 banshee’s to bargain online ^^

I saw some Age Gunplas at Fanime, but I saw a lot more in China. Mostly Age-1 and Age-2, but there were like the first two Age-3 suits.

Thank you….. its been 38 times filling up our passion about Gundam even AGE is not the best series but we still get to watch Gundam with subtitle and clear understanding of what is going on. I watch Gundam since i was a young kid and still watch it until now 24yrs old. It’s the only cartoon i still watch Thanks to you.
